Plywood is made from thin sheets (veneers) of wood glued together, each with its grain in perpendicular directions in alternating layers to improve the strength and to minimise movement in the plane of the board.
Pros
- Lightweight and strong, good for internal paneling
- More pliable and great for curved surfaces
Cons
- Urea and phenol formaldehyde used for gluing
- No resistance after long term for termites
